Hello, I am a professional musician, Piano/Vocalist, a solo artist who is working with other professional musicians always improving and learning my craft and gaining experience in the music business.

As a solo artist, I have worked alone and produced Duo, Trio and Band mix in many genres.

Primarily, I am a Vocalist with a background of function outfits but have looked more into the Jazz, Swing and Blues movements more recently to challenge myself.

As a music teacher working alongside many secondary and primary schools I gain work with government education funding and run choirs, workshops and regularly provide schools with music therapy for the SEN sector.

My most rewarding and challenging day to day work I find is when I can use my musical knowledge to let another person, be it a small child or adult to express themselves through music as a form of therapy.

My teaching on a private basis keeps me busy 4 nights of the week with private registers of students of all ages. Then at the weekend, I have fun running Open Mic nights or gigging with Cu'da Groove my brilliant semi-professional 6 piece funk band. We are a family all striving for expertise in our own musicianship and the results are just fabulous!!!!!

As I gig either solo sitting quietly in a restaurant very much in the background or fronting a gigging semi-pro funk band I am in my element.

And lastly my students can see me working, as a teacher, as a soloist, as a performer but all the time inspiring them to be the very best that they can achieve through my guidance and I am proud of every single one of them.

The Sid Bolan BIG BAND. I am the vocalist for the swing band conducted by Steven Holgate. Using his own arrangements and other tried and tested formulated Big Band winners we, combine my style and vocal harmonies to classic swing standards like ‘All of Me’ and ‘Night and Day’ to the more contemporary bond tunes and the adventurous ‘Big Time’ by Linda Eder.

Gigs are held at charity events and concerts through the year at local venues.

Introducing Pippa.
Such a cutie, she started with me at 3 and a half, my youngest vocal student to date. This half term we chose some songs from the films 'Trolls' and the ever so lovely 'Beauty and the Beast'

Pippa has 2 older sisters Amelia and Olivia whom, over the years I have helped see them through various music exams adding extra sessions for oral tests or accompaniment for recorder or vocal exams in conjunction with their school curricular music activities.
Pippa has the sweetest yet innocent little voice and is gaining confidence every term to keep up with her talented big sisters.

Lesson by lesson Clair has transformed Yasmin's 'little voice' into a confident 'bigger voice'. It's a pleasure to watch and listen to. So impressed was I that I have now started lessons too. I would recommend Clair to anyone and everyone who wants to have a go at singing.

Thanks Clair for releasing the songbirds in us.

My daughters really look forward to their lessons each week with Clair. Clair inspires them to try new songs and, most importantly, they have fun at the same time.
